ABOUT THIS CAMPAIGN

educate don't discriminate

In the 21st Century, we are barricaded with problems on a daily basis. These problems are often heightened and met with discrimination, for the millions of disabled across the globe! It is about time that this discrimination was put to a stop.

When wondering how I could ever achieve this, many thoughts passed my mind. Maybe we could make laws? Maybe we could sit all workplaces in meetings? Or maybe we could put huge signs up teaching everyone why it is so important to treat us as equal. But slowly, these ideas all proved to be impossible. In the adult mind, beliefs are set firmly and are incredibly difficult to ever change. This is why it is vital we begin to educate children on disabilities from a young age so that the next generation of disabled can live happy lives alongside their understanding peers.
With everything in life, learning will take time. It will require hard work, dedication and most importantly change. At current, the UK has no mandatory education on any form of disability unless you are in science. But do we really want our children seeing the disabled as a science project?
It is time, that in this ever-changing world, we made the path for learning about each other. Which is why Educate Don't Discriminate campaigns to make education on disability mandatory in all UK Schools. After all, the children of today are the futures of tomorrow!
