DAY 2! Bald and Breezy!

If anyone has ever told you, being bald makes your head a little colder, they are both wrong and right...

Last night was interesting to say the least!
We went to visit my uncle Kevin and my Nan and Grandad, who were all very shocked to say the least!
I have mainly received lovely comments, telling me I suit being bald! But Callum has been compared to Gregg Wallace, DR Egg Man and various other bald and bearded beings haha!
We went out for Dinner to a buffet style restaurant last night, and one of the waiters came right into my face to stare. He was probably about 2 inches away from kissing me if he had gotten any closer haha! He then gave me a bit of a dirty look, and carried on his job. I felt really uncomfortable and thought 'how rude!' Until I was reminded I was bald (yes I had forgotten). Then I just felt super self conscious, but I soon perked up again after some food! Silly man!
When I woke up this morning, my hair had already grown quite a bit! It is probably about 2mm longer than it was when I went to sleep! Impressed :) But I am starting to like this new style! I no longer feel so hidden!
So today began with a trip into my local town :) I do love some shopping therapy! After seeing a few friends (including Joe who sponsored us! wooo! Thanks Joe!) we ended up spending a lot of time talking to a woman about spirits. I have always been kind of skeptical, but she told me there were lots of spirits and love surrounding me! Guess they are making up for my lack of hair, because I have to say, I am feeling good!
Until of course, another Silly Man came along! On the way back from the town, a random man tutted at me in the street. Its quite a shame really, and I am glad my hair is going to grow back, because I cannot imagine how someone with cancer must feel, not knowing when they will be able to stop covering their heads to please the public! No one should ever be made to feel like that anywhere, let alone in public!
But like with the meal last night, the day didn't stay bad! We chose to go to the local swimming pool, where we sat in the bubble section next to a sweet little girl. Judging by her bright pink arm bands and tutu, plus her tiny size, she must have been only a toddler! She lifted her little arm and played with my bald head for a bit, saying "no hair, no hair" over and over whilst smiling. She seemed to really like it!
She also chose to touch Callums head, which was a lot more stubbly than mine, which she did not like as much haha! Her parents then saw what she was up to and rushed over to tell her off. I just said it was perfectly okay, and said goodbye to the little girl, who waved, still smiling and fascinated! Children do need to feed their curiosity! I did not mind one bit and it actually made me feel a lot better than the silent judgmental stares! At least she spoke up!
So Day 2 has been a whirlwind of up's and down's!
Callum seems to have decided he likes being bald and wants to keep it haha! We will see what the future brings!
School tomorrow might be a bit of an adventure. One of my teachers (sadly an important boss one!) decided before half term that they did not like the idea. They tried to make me stop, and explained the 'consequences of rule breaking'. I did not find baldness in the rule book luckily! But even so, this was worth it for the smile on Nelly's face, and the life changing sponsorship she will be getting! :) Hopefully my teacher perks up and get's over the way I look, so they can truly teach me!
Thank you for sticking around for this update! See you tomorrow!
